However, many drivers do find that adding these aftermarket gadgets makes life easier (and some larger vehicles come with them as standard equipment). But how can you employ blind spot mirrors? What safety information about blind spots in mirrors is the best?

There will always be a blind zone on either side, regardless of how strategically placed your side view mirrors are. There will always be parts of your car that you cannot see, though a lot of this will rely on how your car is built and designed. Blind spot mirrors are made to address this issue.

They typically attach to the factory side view mirrors of your car and are curved. Compared to standard side view mirrors, the mirror’s curved surface makes it possible to reflect things from a broader variety of angles.
A blind spot mirror should be placed to provide you a view of the blind spots to your right and left from the driver’s seat in order to be used properly. Before adjusting the blind spot mirror, check that your side view mirror is properly positioned (you shouldn’t be able to see your car’s side). This will allow you to observe what the other mirror overlooks.
The upper corner of the exterior of the mirror is the best place for installation on the majority of automobiles. To have the best coverage of your particular blind areas, though, you might have to play around with placement since this isn’t true of all vehicles. Be aware that a blind spot mirror on the passenger side view mirror is not always beneficial. The passenger side view mirrors are naturally convex to cover the blind spot, and the size of the mirror limits the visibility of the reflection for the driver.
