How to Install or Replace Car Door Handles

To put new exterior door handles in your car, simply follow these simple instructions:

1. Find the bolts or other fasteners holding the old door handle in position and remove them.

2. Slide the handle out of the door, disconnecting mechanisms such as locks or alert cables.

3. According to the directions in your vehicle’s manual, insert rubber gaskets as necessary, then install the replacement car door handles, reconnect the wires, and lock mechanisms.

4. To keep the handle in position, replace the fasteners.

5.Make sure the new handles are functional by testing them.
